Personal Training: 7th training attendance weekend
By slhaf | February 4, 2010
Hurrah! I’m almost at the end of my course and it’s amazing to think I’ll soon be able to take on clients – and get paid for helping them!
There’s no doubting it’s been hard work, but each month has introduced new, interesting subjects to tackle. Most recently, in addition to learning how to train people with health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, obesity and high blood pressure, we’ve been discovering the business side of being a personal trainer.
Everything from marketing and doing the accounts to arranging insurance and keeping client records up-to-date is covered, although how much you use after qualifying depends on whether you decide to work for a gym or go freelance and run your own business.
I’m off to a training centre in Liverpool in a few weeks time to catch up on a weekend I missed when I was ill so I’ve got a busy month ahead with my final attendance weekend just one month away. But with the end in sight, I say bring it on!

Taking some time to keep up some training whilst away. It will keep your energy levels up as well as help burn some of those extra calories you may just be eating!
Remember, enjoy your treats and don’t get bogged down with trying to be ‘perfect’ when on holidays – you’re there to have fun but try not to go overboard and undo all the great work you’ve done to date!
